Unreturned borrowed property
A race car engine valued at approx. $10,000 was borrowed to a family member. The intent was to use this engine while previous engine was being repaired. This should not have taken more than 2-3 months. After 12 months, numerous requests to return this engine have not been honored. Now it's been nearly 24 months, still not returned, and no intent to return has been provided. We can prove original ownership, but nothing in writing regarding the terms of this loaned engine. What legal rights do we have in getting this engine returned, hopefully in an undamaged condition. Witnesses also available as to ownership and the loan of the engine.

The fastest way to get the return of your engine is to file a replevin action in the Circuit Court of your county. Please call for a consultation.
