Legal Question in Discrimination Law in Illinois

Do any attorneys work for just a % on this type of case?

I have a very strong case against the company I used to work for. I even have a person that still works there, and is in good standing with the company that will back up my claim of discrimination. I need a Lawyer that is willing to work for a percentage, even if it is more than they usually get, to handle my case. This case will never make it to a court room, I have it on very good knowledge that they will settle way before that. Can somebody please help me?

It is possible to find an attorney to undertake the representation in discrimination cases, if that attorney feels the case is meritorious. In many civil rights statutes it is expressly stated that employers found responsible for violations of the law can be made responsible for the reasonable legal fees of the party that has been discriminated against.

Clients should check the local bar association referral service for names.

As an alternative, services like this is a good way to identify attorneys in the area of specialist and in the locality where the client is located.

Yes, attorneys may work for percentages. I take on a relatively small number of contingency cases. You would need to make an appointment to discuss the details to ascertain whether you have a case and whether it would be worthwhile for me to take it on contingency. Be prewarned, discrimination law is somewhat limited and what may seem like a clear case may not always be so.
