Legal Question in Discrimination Law in Illinois

Is this discrimination?

I have been with my current company for seven years, and a assistant manager there for 4 years. During the four years I have helped train several manager's in training. Those managers in training have either went right into being a general manager after there training or became an assistant manager for about a year than a general manager. My general manager recently went on a three month maternity leave. While she is gone they sent another gentle over from another store to be in charge while she is gone. I was told I will be doing all the paper because the guy they sent over does not know how yet, but he is in charge. My past reviews have been pretty good. I have never been told I needed to do something different. I am an african american female. There are no other african american managers I believe in my region my company is suppose to promote from within, but within my region there have been no workers promoted from within. I would like to know if I have a case for discrimination

Re: Is this discrimination?

I'm not really seeing it. Are there any blacks anywhere in management anywhere in the company? Are there any minorities in management? Do you feel they are intentionally passing you over for promotions and that it's really based on race? Have you expressed an interest in being promoted and been rejected? Have you seen less qualified non-minority employees at your level get promoted while you're passed over? Based on what you've stated above, it doesn't sound like your company is necessarily discriminating.
