Legal Question in Discrimination Law in Illinois

I tought the employee can not ask your age, because it can cause age discrimination. So why a new employee ask a copy of the drivet license ? It is the same thing.

I am guessing when you say "employee" you mean "employer." An employer is required to obtain copies of certain documents to comply with federal law. Form I9 lists the allowed forms of identification, one of which is a driver's license.
