It is very important that you hire the best criminal defense attorney you can afford. The negative consequences of mishandling a charge as serious as a DUI can affect your life in a variety of ways. In most cases, an experienced attorney can help you get through this legal ordeal in such a way as to avoid those negative consequences to the greatest extent possible. Each case is different, but in many cases a defense attorney can actually defeat the charge. In many other cases the defense attorney can negotiate a plea bargain which will allow you to avoid a conviction on your record. Please take my advice and hire an attorney. Do not attempt to get through this on your own. Good luck.

I agree with the other attorneys. You need legal representation. And fast, as there is a clock ticking regarding your defense. Note that any Illinois DUI prosecution has two components, civil and criminal. Don't try to do this on the cheap. The ramifications later in life could have an extreme negative impact on your life. GOOD LUCK!
