Legal Question in DUI Law in Illinois

DUI with expired liscense

I got a dui last april, the courts say my liscense was expired and are now attempting to charge me with a felony. I have a lawyer appointed to my case but he is not being very aggresive with my case as it may go to trial. I cannot have a felony on my background as I work in the healthcare field. Any suggestions or helpful information?

Not really knowing the details of your case, it is hard to second guess your attorney. I would tell him and if he says he cannot get a deal to reduce the charge, then consider a new attorney.
