The statute of limitations is 18 months to file charges. If you have already received a ticket (usually at the time of arrest)then charges have been filed, and the statute of limitations does not apply. For instance, if you left the state before the DUI was resolved, there is most likely a warrant for your arrest. It doesn't matter if it's 10 years later. You can still be prosecuted for the DUI.
