The first step is to contact the Alabama Department of Public Safety, and ask them to send you a letter stating the specific things you need to do in order to have your license reinstated. They will then send you a letter that lists whatever unresolved matters need to be addressed before your new license can be issued. Sometimes it is as simple as paying a reinstatement fee. Other times it may involve clearing up some old tickets or other matters like that. Just call the Department of Public Safety, and they can issue you a letter listing everything that they need before they can issue you a new license.

Good luck with clearing your license, and if you need further assistance please feel free to give us a call.
