First of all, the court is not going to offer you anything except the opportunity to plead guilty or not guilty. You definitely need to hire an attorney. The attorney can ascertain all of the relevant facts and then make a professional judgment as to what is in your best interest, going to trial or negotiating a plea bargain with the state's attorney's office. If you do not already have an attorney, you may call me for a free telephone consultation.
