Legal Question in Elder Law in Illinois

I live in Illinois and under the Elder Law, after having been mom's caregiver living in her home for 2 years, I can take possession of her home. How will that affect my federal and Illinois income tax?

I'm sorry but this question is incoherent. It starts out as an elder law question then becomes an income tax question.

I have never heard of any law that allows a caregiver to simply take possession of another living person's home after providing services for 2 years. You may want to review the situation with an attorney before you go any further. Feel free to give me a call. I won't charge for a brief, introductory phone conversation.
