Legal Question in Entertainment Law in Illinois

band fan Site

I just have a question about a Fan Club that I run. I have been dealing with a so called know it all who want's to close down my page.

I run the site out of the USA/IL, the Band Is from Sweden...I have 100% support from the Band.I'm not selling anything.I need to know what the Laws and Regulations here in the US are on running a Fan Site, Do I need some kind of licence to do so, or is the permission from the Band enouch.Hope you can help, this man is trying to destroy month and month hard work:(.....Thanks in advance !!!...and I hope you have a wonderful day !!

Hello. In my opinion, your band fan

site is a website like any other. Therefore I do not see why you would need a special license. The legal issue here is whether you have a right to protection of your ideas, etc. on the site. My answer is yes. I suggests that you take steps to copyright all of your online work so that this rival will be forced to go away. Will be happy to discuss this with you further and in more detail.
