Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

I am 18 and pregnant. I know who the father of my baby is, but he and I are not together and do not plan on being together. Is it legal for me to exclude him on my child's birth certificate? He is okay with this, but I do not know if it is legal or not.

Illinois public aid will cut off ALL your benefits until you reveal who the father is. Once you reveal who he is, they will go after him for child support - that requires them to establish paternity and correct the birth certificate.
