Re: Age child leaves home leagally

I cannot imagine why you would allow a 17-year-old girl you do not know to live with you, even if it was legal. My best advice is to not get involved in other people's family disputes. The very idea of a 17-year-old girl moving to Michigan to live with two men she has never met is outrageous. She is not old enough to leave home. Her mother may be screaming because she is frustated. Any one who has ever raised a 17-year-old girl is no stranger to frustration. If she is being abused, she is old enough to know to go to the authorities. I do not think you will get any offers to pay her travel expenses to Michigan.
