Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Custodial Parent Moving with Child

I am the custodial parent of my 5 year old. I would like to know the chances of me being allowed to move out of state if I have a better job than here. There would be no family in the area I was moving. I am also considering a move out of the country, possibly the UK. Besides getting a better job, and my happiness improving greatly, I really have no other reasons for moving. What are my chances of the court allowing the move? Am I stuck here till my child is 18?

Re: Custodial Parent Moving with Child

No court will deny you the opportunity to better your life with a better job in another state. Only in very unusual circumstances will the court deny your request. Please call for an appointment.
