Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

My daughter has 2 sons by the same boy. The oldest was born in Southern Illinois and the baby was born in Georgia. She just recently decided she was moving back to Illinois with the kids and the father of the kids is still in Georgia. His name is on the birth certificates but they have not been to court, She does not want to keep the kids from him but she is being told that if he takes her to court within the next 6 months, that he could make her move back to Georgia. She is planning on starting college in August and is looking for a job now. I just need to know if this is true and what, if anything can we do to prevent this?

Thank you

Sincerely

Donna B

Ask a Georgia lawyer, not an Illinois lawyer. Once the kids live here for six months IL courts would appear to have jurisdiction.
