Can I decline visitation/vacation if my child's well being is questionable?
There is a court order which has determined visitation/vacation rights regarding my six year old son. My son is due to go on a two week vacation with his father on July 10th to Colorado. My concern came to be when my six year old son was in tears begging me not to send him on vacation with his dad. I asked why and he explained his father will be putting him on a plane (he is petrified of flying) by himself (without his dad) along with his 12 year old cousin who is expected to assume the adult responsibilities. His father would be joining him several days later. Under the court order, do I have to release my son to his father knowing my son will be put on a plane, petrified with no adult?

Hello. This should be brought

to the court's attention, but

you do have to obey the

existing court order, or you

may risk being held in contempt. You can go into

court on an emergency motion,

with notice to your ex-husband, and advise the

court of your concerns.
