Battery causing bodily harm and the charge of

Domestic Battery of an insulting or provoking nature?

The distinction is defined in the charge. The first involves physical contact; the second involves verbal threats, abusive language, etc. Both are domestic violence charges on which restraining orders and, if convicted, jail can result.
