Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Divorce with communal property

My wife and I are getting a divorce. It is uncontested and we have no communal property except for our house. We are both on the mortgage. My wife wants to keep the house in her name and I am fine with that. What is the easiest way for me to be removed from the mortgage agreement and to have it put in my wife's name only?

There is no easy way. You have to refinance the home in her name only. This is normally difficult, since your wife earns less money than the two of you together and the market is tough for mortgages.
