Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

I have a divorce decree involving a child that states during the summer one parent takes the child for one week at a time, then the other parent takes him the next week. It's like that the whole summer. My question is, being the non-custodial parent, am I allowed to take my child on vacation out of state for 2 weeks instead of only 1 week? I don't want to get arrested for taking my son on vacation with me.

If the decree (judgment) says one week on - one week of, then you can not go away for two weeks unles your ex agrees to it. It is best if an order is entered allowing it, for your protection
