Divorce in Illinois

Do I have to have an attorney represent me to pursue a divorce. I am separated (not legally) for almost one year from my husband and have one 3-year-old daughter who lives with me. He does not pay any child support.

There is no legal requirement that you have an attorney. However, there are many nuances in a divorce including the calcualtion of child support that most non lawyers are not aware of. I suggest you get an attorney.
