Can a divorce be put on hold once spouse is served

It depends on whether you are the one serving the Petition for Dissolution or the one being served. If you served the Petition then the court gave the Petition a six month date for Family Management Conference to see where the parties are in the process, if you do nothing then an appearance before the judge will not be required before that date. If you were served, then the other party can notice it up for an issue, but you also can ask for time to get an attorney.
