Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Hello. My husband has affair when I was pregnant 7 months. And he wants a divorce. Right now baby almost 1 year old. He is a full time student. So he didn't pay the child support after baby was born. We are now living separately. Baby is staying with my Mom. He said he will give up the custody and he will pay the child

support after he got job. My question is: How much money I can ask for? Can I ask for mental compensation because he hurt me? If I have the evidence of his affair, is it better for me to go to the court? Thank you.

The affair stuff is only relevant if there would be a custody battle which you wrote there isn't. You'll need to get into court to get child support ordered and the court would probably require him to get a job.
