Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

What are my options to have my exhusbands name removed from an existing car loan: I am current on the payments, My divorce states I had 24 months to refinance which will expire in March 2013, I can't refinance because I owe more than worth, and if I pay it off, he will keep the vehicle because he will get the title. What do you suggest?

IT won't get removed unless it is paid off. Most if not all creditors do not let people off the hook until the loan is paid in full. If you were awarded the car in the divorce, then he can not keep the car. The language of the judgment is important.
