Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

I recently found out by a dna test I am the biological father of a six year old child. The child was born while the mother was married to another man and has lived with him for six years. The mother is now divorced and we are together. Can I legally establish paternity to the child and have any rights to custody?

Yes, depending on the situation. This question is too complex to answer here. My best advice is to consult with an Illinois family lawyer familiar with parentage/paternity cases.
