Legal Question in Medical Leave in Illinois

i'm 7mos pregnant and my job offers unpaid maternity leave for up to 12weeks. i don't have any income or money saved. is it possible that i can file for un-employment during my leave?

Yes, and NO. Yes you can file but it would be WRONG since you are still employed, and you'd have to LIE on the application and then the employer would find out and then they'd probably FIRE YOU. OR if you are truthful you would be DENIED. You have to be unemployed for unemployment benefits. What you should do is advise the father and file for child support if you need help, and if your family is useless, I hope your employment has some medical benefits.
