first appearance

i run a small business and some one

sued me for some problem .i have

replied to the complaint and have a

first appearance in court in this

month.kindly advise:-

1)what happens in the first

appearance ?

2)is it neceserary to go with a lawyer.

Depending on the court, the first appearance could be a hearing. You are certainly at risk if you do not hire an attorney.
