Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Illinois

If I buy a new car, and my now ex-fiance (3rd Party) trades in her car (at no cost to me) in to lower the total price of the vehicle, is my ex-fiance at any time allowed to ask for reparations for the trade in value of that vehicle from me? They are no where on the auto loan and I had no part of signing their trade in auto to the dealership. The reason she did this was her credit was awful so the car was for her to drive, since the engagement has ended, the car was returned to me.

It depends how the money she gave you (the trade in value) was labeled, If it was a gift to you, she does not get it back. If it was a loan, she gets it back.

I hope this helps-
