Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Illinois

My fiance called off our wedding telling me he simply changed his mind. I had already spent nearly $2000 in non-refundable goods & services. I consulted with him every step of the way while doing this. My question is can I sue him for this money since he is the one who called it off? I live in Illinois.
