Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Illinois

My ex girlfriend is saying I owe her thousands for living with her on and off for a few years. I was never part of the lease agreement or on any kind of contractual agreement with her and she willingly let me come and go. At one point, we were sharing her car and I got into an accident. The accident resulted in a lot of damage to the car. As a verbal agreement, I agreed to let her use my new car I was renting. Now we have been broken up for over a year and she will not return my car and is saying I owe for her car and living with her and bills. She is threatening me with law suits and threatening to go after my family's legal status in this country. Does she have legs to stand on with these claims?

It appears you are in a bind because she has your car and you were in an accident with her car. To discuss further, I can be reached at 312-372-5600.
