How long does a defendant have to file its answer to an AMENDED complaint? Is it 21 days?

There are four potential sources of information for you to look at.

1) The Illinois Compiled Statutes

2) The Illinois Supreme Court Rules

3) The local rules for the county that the case is in,

4)and the court order.

What division are you in? Have you already filed an Answer to the original complaint? Frequently the Court sets up a response date after granting leave to amend.
