Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Illinois

I studded out my male dog to a friends female dog. She sold some of the puppies which after the sales were completed they puppies sold got parvo.(there were to sales made) now I am getting letters in the mail from two different attorney offices telling me that if I do not repay what they paid to her they are going to sue me. I have never seen or spoken to any of these people ever. Can they do this since I had no part in the sales transaction?

You should immediately place your homeowner's insurance company on notice. While liability against you may be remote, that does not mean you cannot be sued. Further, if you profited as a result of the puppy sales, there may be issues involving the actual sale of the puppies. This is something your insurer will want to investigate.
