Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Illinois

Suicide

Individual committed suicide by jumping off the top of my building (not a tenant but gained access) and landing directly on my car, destroying it (from 14 floors). Any ideas on how to recover damages? (Family and Bldg. attorney have cut all communications)

Re: Suicide

The first is a claim against the estate fo the deceased individual if his estate has any funds available. Second, is possibly the building management.

My question to you is whether your auto insurance would provide coverage for this accident.

Re: Suicide

Report the incident to the insurance. They may help you. Otherwise you must sue the property owner and/or the deceased's estate.
