Legal Question in Health Care Law in Illinois

Placenta

I recently had a baby the delivery was rough after was rougher the resident broke my placenta and the doctor then took over and scraped my insides out with his hand he said he got it all out but he didn't after being sick for a week and a half I started hemmorhaging and had to have emergency surgery it resulted in my having to have 3 units of blood and being away from my infant son for a week. I don't know if this was illegal but I don't think it was right please let me know what you think.

Re: Placenta

It certainly appears that the doctor was negligent in that he did not properly supervise the resident nor did he properly remove the placenta. The doctor's negligence caused you subsequent sugery and your damages.
