Legal Question in Health Care Law in Illinois

my wife took care of her sister who had alzheimer,for 2 1/2 years and never received any money from the state for taking care of her.this was from april 2003 to january 2005. she finaly had to put her in a nursing home, until she passed in june 20 2007. is she able to receive any money?

Why has she waited 4 years to ask the question? Regardless, it would depend on whether there was a probate estate, whether your wife made any claims against the estate, and whether there were assets available on the date of your sister-in-law's death.
