Hi,

You can get married anytime. After marriage, all sponsorship paperwork is filed concurrently including employment authorization application. You will receive EAD (employment authorization document) within about 2 to 3 months after the sponsorship paperwork is filed, and the EAD will be independent of your F1 OPT status. You are not required to continue to remain in F1 status once the sponsorship paperwork is filed. You will receive permission to work (EAD) and travel (advance parole document) until the marriage interview, at which time you will receive resident status.

Yes, you may get married and apply for an adjustment of status which would provide a temporary employment permit for you within approximately 3 months of applying.
