Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Illinois

i have a company that i want to start and produce a comic book is it legal for me to make a contract that states whatever ideas my employees come up with become the legal intullectial property of my company

Yes it can be done but there needs to be consideration (compensation, etc.), documentation and proper copywriting. See an attorney to help you set this up properly the first time around.
