Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois

Is it discrimination

I was recently layed off from a major airline. They layed off the 2 oldest people in the department of 14 leaving only 2 other people over 40. One girl under for has a BA but no experience. The other has no degree but has industry experience. Both in the company for only one year. Is this grounds for age discrimination? I also have an active FMLA claim going for periodic time off.

Re: Is it discrimination

If you feel you were laid off because of your age then that is grounds for age discrimination. What you are describing is evidence of age discrimination, and it is good evidence. If you want to pursue a claim, feel free to call our office and we can discuss how to find more good evidence.
