Can my company terminate me within a week before my vacation time?

Hello. The company has a right to terminate your employment, especially if you do not have a contract for employment. Illinois is an "at will" state and therefore may terminate an employee at any time as long as the reason is not discriminatory. If you believe that your termination is based upon race or gender, etc., I suggests that you contact EEOC. In the Chicago area that office is located at 500 W. Madison.
