Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois

Intimidation & Harrassment by supervisor

My supervisor called my mother and my wife up and harrassed and intimidated them to try and get my equipment from my wife. He asked my wife and mother very personal questions and was very loud and arguementative with them. He asked wife was she a legal citizen? and that she should divorce me. He asked my mother how old was she and told that he thought I was crazy and that everybody hates me at work and that no can get along with me at work. This only a few of the terrible things he said to them on the phone. He them both twice in one day.

Re: Intimidation & Harrassment by supervisor

The statements he made to your wife and mother are slander and you have a cause of action against him. The real question is whether you can afford a lawyer and whether your supervisor could pay a money judgment in your favor after all is said and done.

We would be happy to discuss this further with you, should you have any other questions.
