Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois

What are the laws pertaining to the pay out for unused vacation time. I recently left a company that I had worked for, for approximately 15 months and had been told that during my second year I had 80 hours of vacation time and 32 hours of PTO time. Now that I have left I have about 24 hours remaing and I am being told that I will not be paid since I had not earned all those hours. I have never worked for a company that did it this way and wanted to know what the laws are.

This employer has done nothing but give me a hard since I had to take a medical leave and was out for 3 weeks.

Illinois law requires Illinois employers pay unused, earned vacation time. Sick time is not included.
