Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois

My manager is exremely demanding and many people hate her.

During the 1:1 with her, she mentioned a couple of times about the relationship between my husband and I. She must know some bad relationship bwtween us. Such conversation like, " you should pay attention on your attitue with me, similar to the relationship in your family and with your husband". I didn't take record. Is it considered against empolyee's privacy? What legal action I can take against her?

Though it is certainly an inapprorpiate thing to say, there is nothing unlawful about it. You might ask her to not comment about your family relationships in the future.
