Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois

Hi, I was recently hired by Walmart. I went through my orientation, which you got paid for. Then the lady said she would call me the next day. I never got a call. So the day after that I called and an HR guy told me to come in to do computer training. So when I got there he left with out telling me. They then sent me home and said they would call me tomorrow. I never heard from them. The whole next week I tried calling to find out when I work. Then 7 days later they call me to tell me I have working in 8 hours. By then I was fed up and quit. They never gave me my check for orentaion. Do I have a lawsuit since they never gave me my money for working?

I would say yes since they made you a job offer and your participation in training was for the benefit of the employer.
