Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois

I have a supervisor that is constantly yelling and screaming at me for even asking a simple question, has thrown items at me, pushed me, and has proceeded to insult me by calling me "the most weak and fragile person they have ever met" because I reported the other things to the owner of the company. What should I do? Do I have a valid argument to quit or hire a lawyer?

Part of what you describe is bullying but there is no law against bullying in the workplace in Illinois. However, you wrote that your boss throws things at you and has pushed you. This conduct could indeed be the basis of an extreme and outrageous conduct tort claim. We would be happy to speak with you about your specific situation.
