Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Illinois

I am a home owner and the property across from us is a rental home. Since the tenants have been living there The sheriffs dept have raided it about 5 times, Dog has been off the chain numourous times and the renters have been cited 2 or 3 times. the renter theatened my wife that she was going to kick my wifes A__ yesterday the boyfriend who is a convicted felon and is currently waiting trial in Dec. for trying to steal a riding lawn mower, threaten to fight our neighbor next door because of their dog being loose and bothering the other neighborhood pen in pets (again being cited by the Dog catcher.

We are always calling the landlord about this and it is like turning a def ear on us.

Today I called to her complaining about the yelling and threats from yesterday and she put me on hold, (which actually hanging up on me).

Do we as homeowners have any legal rights against the landlord.

Thank you in advance.

It sounds like you have a civil cause of action based upon nusiance. Nusiance allows for injunctive relief which can stop the activity through court order. You should discuss the details of the case with a local attorney.
