My landlord entered a judgement against me in august and it's on my credit report but we didn't go to court until September is this legal?

If a judgment was entered, it was entered. Credit reporting services pick up judgments when they are entered. Even if it was a confession of judgment kind of situation. If you get the judgment reversed, and the credit reporting services don't pick that up, you can directly tell them and they can show the reversal, but the actual judgment may NOT be stricken. If it was only a default judgment for your failure to show up for something and was vacated, however, that is different so without more information about how this happened it's impossible to say.
