Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Illinois

Lease

My husband and I went in a couple weeks ago to sign our new apartment lease. My husband asked if anything had changed the person (not manager) said nothing besides something with the garbage. So we signed. Ten minuets later she called back and said that because we have a garage we now have to pay an extra $75 a mont. After we already signed the lease that didn't have that info on it. We also recieved no notice of this and it was not on the renewal notice forms either. After another couple weeks we met with the manager that said the lease we signed basically din't count because it didn't have her signature on it. Basically she is leaving us with no other choice but to now sign a new lease with the $75 for the garage. Are they able to do that?

Re: Lease

Hello and Happy New Year. In my opinion the manager is trying to take

advantage of you. This is fraud and

you should report it to the Illinois

Attorney General's office. You can

also file a lawsuit against the landlord, manager, etc., in my opinion. You need a lawyer and you should act quickly. Will be happy to discuss this further and in more detail.
