Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Illinois

If someone else and I have both of our names on the lease, and I want my name off, will that other person be evicted? That person was not able to obtain an apartment on their own.

You are presuming that you can get your name off of a lease. the landlord has nothing to gain by releasing one tenant. Without seeing the lease, I cannot tell you whether an eviction could take place
