Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Illinois

personal dilema

My boyfriend of almost 2 years has been promissing me to keep up with his own major decission that would and did affect our lifes as a couple and family as well as individuals...

This situation has caused me a lot of distress, emotional suffering, not to mention stress, financial loss...

As the impact of his lack of action has been huge at many different levels... what should I do?, should I sue him to force him to keep his word, sue him for all the pain and suffering?... Or just terminate the relationship?...

Our relationship is considered to be serious, we even own some things

together, and have equal financial responsability in it. What will happen if I decide to finish the relationship?

Re: personal dilema

Hello. Filing a lawsuit against your boyfriend would probably be very agonizing for you to do. Consulting with a relationship counselor or a close friend of you both might be the best solution. The fact that you own things together makes this situation alittle more complicated and may require an additional court action should you break up. However, I do not suggests handling any court matter, without legal representation. Give this situation careful thought. Will be happy to answer any additional questions that you may have on this topic.

Based on what you say it is impossible to answer your question, you haven't indicated anything that would indicate whether you even have a cause of action or not. You need to consult an attorney who can advise you as o what remedies you may have.
