Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Illinois

I rented out my apartment in a high rise doorman buidling in Chicago fully furnished. The tenant has stopped paying rent since may and will not leave. I have done the eviction process, was granted order of posession, he stayed past the time period judge allowed, filed papers with sherrif, and now I am just waiting for the sherrif to come get him. He also has lost all of the keys to the apartment and mail box and leaves my door open with all my furniture in the apartment, including electronics that anyone could come in and steal. Can I remove MY furniture/belongings from the apartment?

Until the Sheriff has evicted the tenant you have no right to enter and remove anything.
