Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Illinois

I signed a lease in October 2013 to go in effect this coming summer. Since I have signed the lease, one of the people I would be living with has gotten out of control. She has been arrested twice in the past 4 months, one a felony charge, and is already on probation. She has been very open about the fact that she intends on bringing and continuing to smoke weed in our house next year. At this point, I do not feel at all safe or comfortable living with this person. They are refusing to sign me off the lease, and since most people are aware of her behavior as well, no one is willing to replace me on the lease. I absolutely do not want to be put in this situation next year living with her. What are my legal options to get myself removed from the lease?

Talk to the landlord, and if the landlord won't help, talk to an attorney, because you right now will owe your share of the rent, utilities and maintenance costs. If this is student housing, get your parents involved, and see if there is someone at the school who can help.
